- Your words, your idea. A single sentence is enough, or a whole notebook. Nothing comes from a fill-in-the-blanks template.
- Real people in the pictures. Add up to 3 photos and we draw the characters to look like them: your child, your whole family or a friend.
- Changes until it feels right. Ask for new words, new scenes, a different look. Then we print a real hardcover.
Your part takes a few minutes: type the story, record it as a voice note, or upload a page. Your first preview usually arrives the same day, by email, and there's nothing to pay until you approve the book.

How is this different from other personalized books?
Template books swap a name and a face into a story someone else wrote. KidBookMaker builds the whole book from your own story, so the plot, the characters and the words are yours.
Does the book have to star my child?
No. It can star your child, your whole family, a friend, a pet, or no one you know at all. Many books are simply a story someone has had in their head for years.
How long does it take?
Your part takes a few minutes. Your first preview usually arrives the same day. Printing and shipping come after you approve.
Can I make it in Spanish?
Yes. Tell us the story in Spanish and the whole book, and our emails, will be in Spanish.
